Product Care
Every RIMEH GARDEN piece is a fragment of an imagined utopia. Handle with the same gentle reverence.

Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (typically copper), which makes it both durable and prone to tarnishing.
How to Maintain:
-
Daily Use:
Wipe the piece gently with a 100% cotton or microfiber cloth after each wear to remove skin oils and moisture.
Avoid wearing it while sleeping, especially in humid conditions.
-
Storage:
Store in an airtight zip pouch with anti-tarnish strips.
Do not store in paper, cardboard, or cotton-filled boxes, which may contain sulfur compounds that accelerate tarnishing.
Keep each piece isolated to prevent scratches.
-
Cleaning Routine (Monthly):
Use a designated silver polish cloth for routine buffing.
For deeper cleans, submerge in a solution of warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap. Soak for 5–10 minutes, then brush gently with a baby toothbrush and rinse. Dry completely with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid silver dips unless professionally advised—they may strip intentional oxidized finishes.
-
Avoid Contact With:
Humidity, cosmetics, perfume, hairspray, chlorine, sulfur-rich foods (eggs, onions), and household chemicals.
-
Our gold-plated pieces are layered with 18K gold over a Sterling Silver base. These are more delicate than solid gold and require extra caution to preserve the plating.
How to Maintain:
-
Daily Use:
Minimize friction: avoid stacking with other jewelry.
Remove rings and bracelets when using keyboards, opening zippers, or touching rough surfaces.
After each wear, gently pat clean with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Storage:
Always store in a soft cloth pouch or separate compartment.
Humidity speeds up fading—avoid storing in bathrooms.
-
Cleaning Routine (Biweekly):
Wipe with a barely damp microfiber cloth—no soaps or jewelry cleaners.
Never use silver polishing cloths—they are abrasive and will wear off the gold layer.
Never rub hard. Treat as you would silk.
-
Lifespan Tips:
Plating will naturally wear with time and contact. Re-plating services are available—contact our support for inquiries.
For longevity, rotate with other pieces instead of wearing every day.
-
Avoid Contact With:
Water (especially hot or chlorinated), sweat, perfume, oils, alcohol-based sprays, and hard surfaces.
-
18K gold (75% pure gold) is resilient and will not tarnish, but it can accumulate residue or dull over time without proper care.
How to Maintain:
-
Daily Use:
Safe to wear daily, but still best to remove during strenuous activities.
Avoid heavy knocks, which may cause dents or misshaping, especially for hollow or delicate pieces.
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry if worn while sweating.
-
Storage:
Keep in a separate fabric-lined box or felt pouch.
Avoid tossing in with other metals to prevent scuffs.
-
Cleaning Routine (Monthly):
Create a gentle solution using lukewarm water and a few drops of fragrance-free dish soap. Soak for 15 minutes, brush with a soft baby toothbrush, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.
Use a high-polish gold cloth (non-abrasive) for buffing to restore shine.
-
Professional Maintenance:
Every 1–2 years, consider a professional ultrasonic clean or light polish to maintain brilliance.
Get prongs and stone settings checked if applicable.
-
Avoid Contact With:
Abrasive cleaners, sharp surfaces, makeup powders, and lotions that may leave residue.
-
-
Put on jewelry last, after makeup, fragrance, and hair products.
-
Remove first before undressing, swimming, or exercising.
-
Handle with clean, dry hands to avoid fingerprint oils.
-
Let jewelry breathe—avoid sealed storage for too long unless humidity is controlled.
